M ythobolus presents a program o f three
mask legends from China, Africa and Central
America on Sunday, April 2 at 2 pm. Greg
Harris will narrate “How Music Came to the
Earth,” a Mayan legend, “T he Jungle Fruit
Tree, African legend, and “The Chinese
Dragon.” Over thirty masks will be worn by
M ythobolus dancers Leru Adam s, Carol
Knutson, Pam Norris, M aranee Sanders,
Rosemay Thornton and M arla WiIkonson,

Tigres Heart
Presents “MacBeth”

“M acBeth,” o n e o f Shakespeare’s greatest
tragedies. It’s a play about power, love,
betrayal and politics - the story o f a hero
who saves a country and then loses it. But
in Tygres Heart fashion, Doherty has
added an unexpected tw ist to the plot:

Lead Work Parties
T he N ature C on serv an cy o f O regon
encourages anyone interested in leading
others in outdoor work to attend our
volunteer crew leader training sessions on
Friday, M arch 24 from 6-9 pm. and
Saturday, March 25 from 8 am. -4 pm. in our
Portland office. Crew leaders will provide
support and leadership for volunteer work
parties in the Portland area and around the
state. This tw o-day training will cover
org an izatio n o f w ork parties, safety
instruction and volunteer management.
Volunteer crew leaders are asked to commit
to leading two work parties during the 2000

T he Urban League o f Portland announces
Career Connections 2000, on Tuesday,
April 4 '\ 10 am. to 7 pm., at the M emorial
Coliseum Exhibit Hall. This year’s event
marks the eighth annual job fair. O ver fi fry

on hand to accept applications, resumes

Bowling for Rhinos
