A public meeting ofthe Budget Committee of the Tri-County Metropolitan
Transportation District (Tri-Met), Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington

New Floor Coverings at Two-High-Rise Buildings

Sealed bids will be received at the Housing Authority o f Portland (HAP),
8910 N. Woolsey Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97203, until 2:00 p.m..
Tuesday. M arch 14.2000 for labor and materials for work at two high-rise
buildings within the Portland area. Shortly thereafter, bids will be opened
and publicly read. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for
opening until after the lapse o f sixty (60) days from the bid opening.
The basic work consistsof the removal of the existing carpet and pad, VCT
flooring, and cove base and the replacement with new. Work will be
performed at all common areas per floor at each apartment building.
Bid documents are available at the HAP Office noted above. A $20 deposit
per set o f bid documents is requested and are refundable when documents
are returned within 10 days after bid opening.
Attendance o f bidders is mandatory at a pre-bid tour of the project at
Williams Plaza Apartments, 2041 NW Everett St. at 10:00 a.m.. Tuesday.
February 29.2000. Questions posed during the tour, not addressed in the
documents, will be answered by addendum.
The Housing Authority o f Portland may reject any bid not in compliance
with the prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and may reject
any or all bids and waive all informalities if, in the judgment of HAP, it is
