Portland Taiko's power, humor, and exuberance will weave through traditional and contemporary taiko rhythms, movement, and stories. The performing art o f taiko has its roots in ancient Japanese tradition and is an evolving, contemporary Asian American art form. To con tinue this tradition o f innovation, Portland Taiako will mark its fifth anniversary with a pro gram of all- o r i g i n a works.
