Sealed bids will be received at the Housing Authority o f Portland (HAP),
8 9 1 0 N. W oolsey Avenue, Portland, Oregon 9 7 2 0 3 , until 2 :0 0 p.m .,
Thursday, S eptem ber 9 ,1 9 9 9 for labor and m aterials fo r work at an existing
high-rise apartm ent com plex parking lots. Shortly thereafter, bids will be
opened and publicly read. No bidder may withdraw th e ir bid after the hour
set for opening until after th e lapse o f sixty (60) days from the bid opening.
The basic work c o n sists o f rem oving existing trees a t several locations
around parking lots. Removing and replacing the existing concrete curbing
around planting beds at parking lots with new. Removing and patching
deterio rated areas w ithin asphalt pavem ent. Overlay parking lots with new
asphalt paving, restrip pin g parking stalls, and in sta llin g new landscaping.
Bid Documents are available at the HAP Office noted above. A $50 (fifty) deposit
for one set and $20 (twenty) for each additional set is refundable when documents
are returned within 10 days after bid opening.
Attendance o f bidders is requested at a pre-bid tou r of the project at 4 4 0 0
NE Broadway, Portland, OR. 9 7 2 1 3 , com m encing at 1 0 :0 0 a.m ., Thursday,
August 2 6 , 1 9 9 9 . Q uestions posed during the tour, not addressed in the
docum ents, will be answered by addendum .
Execution o f an Affidavit of MBE Participation (HAP form 421) is required of
each bidder in order to qualify as a qualified bidder for this work.
The Housing Authority o f Portland may reject any bid not in compliance with
the prescribed bidding procedures and requirements and may reject any or all
bids and waive all inform alities if, in the judgm ent o f HAP, it is in the public
