But if som e­ thing is interdependent, the reliance is shared and that is w hat an agency needs to hav e with other agencies and the com m unity to protect children.” Probasco holds a b a c h e lo r’s de­ gree in corrections an d a m a ste r’s in counseling, both from w h at is now W estern O regon U niversity. H e serves on the govern o r-ap p o in ted Juvenile assessm ent and advocacy center D eschutes w as one of the first S t 1 branches to im plem ent the system o f care program w hich focuses on the strengths and needs o f a fam ily s cir­ cum stances, bringing together S t F, fam ily m em bers and other prov iders to plan for the needs of a child w ho has been abused o r neglected. In 1998, Probasco was interim man­ ager o f SCF ’s statewide system of care unit and assisted w ith its implementation and integration with existing programs.
