North American International Auto
Show. The City of Detroit has never
seen the likes of such a substantive
and eloquent celebration. It is a
memory of the entire automobile
industry that I will cherish forever.

What a magnificent day in my life
was Jan. 7, 1999; and you were a
“major player” in helping to make it
so. During my years as an automo
bile dealer, many of which were a
great joy, there were challenges
(one after another) and once in a
while discouragements beyond my
control. I could never have even
imagined during those years such a
tribute as honored me at Cobo
Center by African Americans On

Minority Automobile Dealers and the

I just read the spring copy of your
magazine and the salute to Ed
Davis: What a great thing to do. I
live in Massachusetts and continual
ly suffer from a very poor diet of
news and activities due, in part, to
the relatively small black population
in both Boston and Massachusetts.
The Bay State Banner is our only
minority local publication. My wife
and I own a Concorde, Jeep and an
old Chrysler Fifth Avenue.

I love your magazine. Several
times you published articles about
the Chrysler Sebring convertible,
and these articles lingered in my
mind. Recently, I finally acted on my
lingering wish. I went to Lakeforest
Chrysler-Plymouth and ordered a

top and camel color seats. Now my
daughter, a resident OB-GYN in
New York, wants one too. Thank
you so much for keeping us
informed about cars we like. Thanks
to your magazine, my daughter and
I will have our dream cars for 1999,
and Chrysler has made two sales.

I just happened to be surfing and
came
across
your
website
(http://www.automag.com). It is
great to know there's a formal orga
nization that speaks to us because
we re auto enthusiasts, too.
