Sealed bids will be received at the Housing Authority of Portland
(HAP), 8 9 1 0 N. Woolsey Avenue, Portland Oregon 9 7 2 0 3 , until 2 :0 0
p.m ., Thursday, April 22, 1 9 9 9 for labor and m aterials to renovate
scattered housing u nits at Columbia Villa.
Shortly thereafter, bids will be opened and publicly read. No bidder
may withdraw his or her bid after the hour set fo r opening until after
the lapse o f sixty (60) days from the bid opening.
The basic work co n sists o f the following at scattered units in
Columbia Villa
1. Removal of existing wood fencing and installation of chain link
fencing
2. Removal if existing wood siding and installation o f new fiber cement
siding.
3. Removal of existing and installation o f new vinyl windows.
4. Removal o f existing and installation o f new wood trim , corner trim ,
and s o ffit m aterial.
5. Removal o f existing and installation o f new painted metal gutters
and dow nspouts
Bid Documents are available at the HAP Office noted above. A $50 (fifty)
deposit for one set and $20 (twenty) for each additional set is refundable
when documents are returned within 10 days after bid opening.
Attendance o f bidder’s is a mandatory at a pre-bid tour of the project
commencing at the HAP Maintenance Office: address above, at 1 0 :0 0
a.m ., Tuesday, April 6, 1 9 9 9 Q uestions posed during the tour, not

Execution o f MBE Participation (HAP form 4 21 ) is required o f each
bidder in order to qualify each bidders bid. A m inimum of 20%

The Housing Authority of Portland may reject any bid in compliance

Hoffman Construction Company of Oregon (“CM/GC”) is seeking statements of qualification from interested
structural & miscellaneous steel subcontractors for the new canopy work to be performed on behalf of the
Port of Portland Bids will be requested in April from a list of prequalified firms responding to a
questionnaire prepared by Hoffman Prospective bidders responding to this questionnaire, that demonstrate
capabilities commensurate with the project requirements as determined by Hoffman Construction and the
Owner, will be considered for the inclusion on the prequalified list Bids for the work received from non pre-
qualified contractors will not be considered
The TES Phase 2 Canopy when completed will provide a permanent skylight-cladded cover over the entire
Airport Terminal public entrance located on the Terminal East Side The Canopy will span over the
enplaning and deplaning roadways between the Terminal Building and the Parking Garage, an area
measuring approximately 215 feet x 538 feet The Canopy structural frame is comprised of ten (10) three-
chord long-span pipe trusses measuring approximately 200 feet in length. Long-span trusses bear on
existing Terminal Building and Parking Garage columns and will be laterally framed into triangular trusses
running between columns Secondary framing members include custom fabricated open web joists and
related bridging Two curved pedestrian bridges to provide access between the parking Garage and the
Terminal will be rod-suspended from overhead long-span trusses The surface preparation and application
of a high performance coating system on all steel framing and metal decking surfaces, including touch-up
work, will fall within the scope of this work
This is a prevailing wage project Respondents must be registered with Oregon s Construction Contractors
Board for prequalification acceptance
