The purpose of the survey will be to evaluate Alliance s com pli­
ance with nationally established Joint Com m ission standards.
The survey results will be used to determ ine whether, and the
condition under which accreditation should be awarded to
Alliance.
Joint Com m ission standards deal with organizational quality of
care issues and the safety of the environm ent in which care is
provided. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and
valid inform ation about such m atters may request a public
inform ation interview with the Joint Com m ission s field repre­
sentatives at the time of the survey. Information presented at the
interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accredi­
tation process. Requests for a public information interview must
be made in w riting and should be sent to the Joint Com m ission
no later then five working days before the survey begins. Such

Steller Cove Ecosystem Exhibit
The Oregon Zoo, a service of Metro, the regional governm ent
providing services in M ultnom ah, Clackamas and W ashington
Counties is requesting written proposals from qualified exhibit
fabricators to cerate, design and install interpretive exhibits
m eeting the intent fo r the Zoo’s W aters/Steller Cove Ecosys­
tem s Exhibit. The Oregon Zoo seeks to convey specific educa­
tional objectives and concepts related to animals and plants that
inhabit Pacific costal areas and beaches.
Proposals are due no later than 12:00 noon, April 5 ,1999 to
the Deputy Director, Oregon Zoo, 4001 SW Canyon Road,
Portland, Oregon 97221-2799.
An optional pre-proposal site visit is scheduled at 1:00 p.m.,
March 1, 999, Meet at the Oregon Zoo’s main entrance/
reception area at the address listed.
