Religious Freedom Week
In recognition of Religious Freedom
Week, the religious community will hold
a Sunday Service in downtown Portland
at the South Park blocks on Sunday,

Coming Out Day
Pride Northwest will continue a tra
dition begun ten years ago by the Hu
man Rights Campaign to celebrate a
National coming Out Day in October.
To mark this tenth anniversary. Pride
Northwest, in conjunction with Port
land State University’s Lesbian, Gay,
Bi Alliance, is sponsoring a noon time
rally at Pioneer Courthouse Square on
Friday, October 9th. In addition,
speakers will share the history of com
ing out during each decade since the
1940’s. Music will be provided by
Three on the Tree, a spicy acoustic
jazz trio.
