Notice is hereby given that a public hearing, if so requested by any interested person, will be
held by the Tri-C ounty M etropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-Met) at 2:30 PM,
W ednesday, S eptem ber23,1998 at the Washington County Public Services Building, 155 North
First Avenue, H illsboro in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium. The purpose of this hearing is to
consider projects for which federal assistance from the Federal Transit Adm inistration is being

involvem ent, qnd are program m ed in the Metropolitan and State Transportation Im provem ent
Program s. No persons, fam ilies, or businesses will be displaced by the projects. Projects
described above are in conform ance with com prehensive land use and transportation planning
in the area.
In the event a hearing is held, Tri-M et will afford opportunity for interested persons or agencies
to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environm ental aspects of the projects.
A person requesting a sign language interpreter shall give Tri-M et at least 48 hours notice of

ates and manages the Oregon Convention Center, the Portland
Center of Performing Arts, the Civic Stadium and the Portland
Exposi'ion Center. MERC is seeking a leader to manage it's central
administrative department, both directly and through a management
team, including: fiscal operation; information technology, communi­
cations and public affairs; procurement; construction and capital
projects management; and clerical staff, as well as special projects
staff. The Director of Administration will report directly to the General
