Summerbridge Portland is a tuition-free educational program based
on the campus of The Catlin Gabel School in Southwest Portland.
The program ’s mission is to prepare a diverse group of high-
potential middle school students from inner North, Northeast and
Southeast Portland for the demands of rigorous high school pro­
grams. The ensure comprehensive support for these students who
have limited economic and educational opportunities, the program
includes summer and school year components with tutoring,
mentoring, advocacy, high school counseling and enrichment
