"He lives, he moves, he abides
I in me,” testifies Rev. Carl W ill
iams Jr. when describing his thor
ough gospel career as the influ
ential leader o f Institutional
Ic.O .G .I.C . Radio Choir.
Ironically,"He Abides In Me”
I is also a key upcoming single of
which Rev. Williams serves as
soloist on the choir’s 25th up
coming album entitled “After The
Rapture" on CGI Records. Other
singles to be released on the 12
I selection project are the title cut
‘After The Rapture”, "I Will
I Worship" and “ Ready To Meet
The Lord”, which features W ill
iams’ cousin Bishop J.C. White
as

C.O.G.I.C. Radio Choir is a close
knit family. In fact, the music
m inistry’s own stable o f writers
wrote most o f the tracks on "A f
ter The Rapture". “God has given
us fantastic writers. All o f our
songs have a message”, Williams
declares. Bro. Isaiah “ B utch”
Heyward wrote 7 tracks and Pas
tor LeRoy Woodise wrote two
worship and praise songs. Mean
while, Rev. Williams, a self-de
scribed critical perfectionist, pro
d u c e d all o f the tracks.
The Brooklyn, New York-
Ibased choir was formed and
I trained in 1953 at Institutional
Church o f God in Christ by its
current shepherd Bishop Carl
Williams Sr. from a lowly store
front locale. As youngsters, both
