Ebony Fashion Fair, the world's
largest traveling fashion show, cel
ebrates its 40th anniversary with the
extraordinary Jazz Age O f Fashions!
The brilliance o f this resilient, unin
hibited line o f designs symbolizes an
age o f fashion where women break
traditions and wear the clothes they
love the most. The designs are more
sleek, embracing the body and high
lighting the curves. Bright reds, ec
centric blues and exotic greens are
among the jazzy colors that exem
plify signatures o f the flapper era and
conjure images o f faded newsreels o f
the Charleston jazz dancers o f yester
year.
The Jazz Age O f Fashions fea
tures show-stopping styles by world
famous designers such as Bill Blass,
Bob Mackie, Givenchy, Yves Saint
Laurent, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino,
Jean Louis Scherrer, Brioni, Chris
tian Dior, Emanuel Ungaro and Nina
Ricci. Thirteen magnificent models-
eleven gorgeous women (including
the full-figured model) and two hand
some men showcase the provocative
designs.
Not only is Ebony Fashion Fair
an exciting and entertaining experi
ence, but since its inception in 1958 it
has donated more than $44 million to
charitable organizations and travels
to nearly 200 cities around the world.
Mrs. Eunice W. Johnson, a premier
fashion authority, is producer and di
rector.
All o f the energy o f a flapper 40’s
show plus a jazzy explosion o f fash
ions by the world’s most talented de
signs makes Ebony Fashion F a ir’s
40th A nniversary Jazz A geO f Fash
ions an event that must be experi
enced!
