Officer Kim Keist Goes Home

Injured Portland Police Bureau
Officer Kim Keist was released from
Emanuel Hospital Saturday after­
noon. Keist, has been in the Hospital
recovering from gunshot wounds she
received on January 27, 1998. The
same incident took the life o f Port­
land Police Officer Colleen Waibel
and injured Sgt. Jim Hudson.
Although Officer Keist has addi­
tional recovery and surgeries needed,
she has been deemed well enough to

Attorney’s Office have charged and
indicted Sebastian A lexander Shaw,
male Asian, Date o f Birth November
28, 1967, in connection with two
cases stemming from crimes com­
mitted in 1992 and 1995.
Shaw has been indicted for the
July 17th 1992, stabbing murders o f
Todd A. Rudiger, 27 years, and his
girlfriend Donna G. Ferguson, 18
years. The victim o f a sexual assault
during the incident.
Shaw is also indicted for the Attempt
Murder and Sexual Assault ofa 22 year-
old SE Portland/Richmond Neighbor­
hood woman on June 1,1995. The vic­
tim, who was beaten and tied up at
gunpoint, fought with her assailant for
over 20 minutes to escape further injury.

Staulman and J. Bocciolatt were as­
signed to the case after additional
leads surface and links were made to
connect both cases.
