We are soliciting quotations for the Edgefield Children’s
Center Project. Drawings and specifications are available at
the following metro area plan centers: Construction Data and
News, Daily Journal of Commerce, Oregon Contractors,
IMPACT, O.A.M.E. as well as the Salem and SW Wash, plan
centers.
The Edgefield Children's Center is a nonprofit organization
(see brochure) that would very much appreciate a cash or an
inkind donation. The bid form has a line labeled “Donation
Amount” where your donation would be inserted and de­
ducted from your Bid Amount.
The project consists of four wood framed buildings at the
Edgefield center, and the associated site work. Each building
as well as the site work (Preliminary grading package already
bid) will be bid separately. The buildings are: Residence A’,
Residence B’, Janus/Morrison, and Eastwind. Please note,
all labor for the Eastwind building only is furnished by the
Columbia Joint Labor Council. (Please review resolution
enclosed in project manual). The work is scheduled to begin
in March 1998 with completion scheduled for Fall ‘98. (See
preliminary scheduled for more information)

Notice is hereby given that Oregon State University (OSU) is
seeking to engage a Construction Manager/General Contrac­
tor to provide services for the renovation of Hawley Hall on the
OSU campus. This project will renovate Hawley Hall, a 66,000
square foot five story lift slab and brick veneer structure with
a half basement. The O wner desires an overall interior (and
where necessary, exterior) renovation of Hawley Hall into a
fully functioning, modern residential dormitory. This work will
also include some upgrading for seismic resistance. This
structure must be ready for occupancy by June 1, 1999.
The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) may be obtained from

Firms interested in this commission shall submit eight (8)
copies of theircom pleted RFQ response no laterthan 5:00 PM
