A Song For Martin Luther King
My Brother...
B y S avon L indsey
For he was like a M idnight Star shooting across the Sky;
and today we give Praise to that man for his eloquent freedom cry. a
profound and everlasting, so special light...
Ever glowing, ever sparkling, ever shining so bright...
So full o f Love he had like no other; unlike some o f my sisters or my
brothers,
For he had that so special magic, he was so many things; hut in his
words you could hear so clearly, -‘let Freedom R ing!”
From Selma Alabama to Washignton and D C .
His cry for freedom would one day work lor you and me; and sing H
did eloquently and magnificent his voice...
Letting every man and woman know that finally there was a choice
and I can still remember the Greatness o f that man; saying divided
we fall and together we stand. And the path he walked lor so long
unseen; but I can still hear his voice saying "I have a Dream
Many w ill say that he was here long before his tune; but his gift ol
life for us w ill always shine, and it was that many years not long ago He
would give God his life , and leave us his soul
To me h e'll always be like a M ighty river touching all w ith Love,
and today I sing a special song just for him to take above. Always and
forever, I ’ ll love you like no other;
From me to you, A song for Martin Luther King, my Brother!
