ju stic e that we as av erage people
know little or noth in g about.
The top ten p ercen t o f the

w ays had a tto rn e y s on re ta in e r
and alw ay s w ill; m aybe th a t’s
why the rich ju s t keep g ettin g
rich er. And the bottom ten p e r­
cent of the p eople in this c o u n ­
try have co u rt a p p o in te d a tto r­
neys; m aybe th a t’s why the poor
ju st k eep g e ttin g poorer.
T hen there are the 80% o f us
in the m iddle who are financially
locked out o f the legal system

The eligibility/selection criteria
for entrance into the program are
that the participant m ust be a vol­
unteer, w ithin the ages 16-18, a
citizen or legal resident o f the U S .
and o f the State o f O regon; drug
free; m ust not possess felony or
capital convictions and m ust have
physical capability to com plete the
program w ithin reasonable accom ­
m odations for physical challenges.
