For his part, LL attributes his longev­
ity to one sim ple fact: “I’ve alw ays been
true to what I w as feeling em otionally
and artistically," he says. “I d o n 't like
violence. I've seen violence, seen people

there’s nothing cool about it. It plainly
just doesn’t interest m e.”
