This is a highly technical, software development position. The
person in this position will work in a complex technical
environment which includes multiple desktop operating
systems, client/server technology, relational databases,
and interfaces into many other State information systems.
The application development environment includes object
oriented methodology, Smalltalk, Visual Works, and Oracle
RDMS. The person in this position will be a member of an
application development team responsible for analysis,
design, development, and implementation of OYA’s opera
tional business functions. The development team is respon
sible for all aspects of development life cycle. Minimum
qualifications include six years of professional, technical,
application development experience. Qualifying experi
ence must demonstrate knowledge in providing expert
technical advice, leadership, systems analysis, and pro
gramming, for planning, development, and implementation
software applications for large scale information systems.
Requirements include five months or more of experience
with client/server technology, and six months or more
experience with Smalltalk. Fifteen quarter hours (or 10
semester hours) graduate-level computer science, soft
ware engineering, information systems, or equivalent cred
its may substitute for one year of professional experience.
Preference may be given to applicants that demonstrate
excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving
skills. (Experience developing applications for a cross plat
form environment such as Windows 95 and Macintosh.)

nical evaluation services.
