Business graduates excel
Prestigious Stanford admits 30 percent women and 24
precent racial minorities into graduate school

The 362 students who entered
S tanford's MBA C lass o f 1999
were selected from a record 6,559
applicants, up 3 percent from last
year Only 7 percent of those who
applied were offered adm ission
The new students range in age
from 23 to 35; their average age is
26.5 T hirty percent are women
