City of Camas Department Of Public Works
City Project No. S-348
NE 2nd Ave/NE 3rd Ave Traffic Signal
Improvements
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Camas, Office of the
Finance Department, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, W ashing­
ton, until 10:00 a.m., on October 21, 1997 and will then and
there be publicly read for the construction of the improvement.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal
deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety
bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of
such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter
into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond
within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal
deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Camas.
Maps, plans, and specification may be obtained from the
Public Works Department upon payment of the amount of
$25,00, which is non-refundable. Informational copies of maps,
plans, and specifications are on file for inspection in the Public
Works Department, Camas, Washington.
The improvement for which bids will be received follows:
Bid opening on Tuesday, October 21,199 7 at 10:00 A.M.
The work consists of furnishing and installing a complete
traffic signal system, together with other intersection improve­
ments including the construction of concrete curb, asphalt
concrete patching, striping, and other related items.
The City of Camas reserves the right to reject any or all
proposals if found to be higher than the estimated cost and to
waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the
interest of the City.
This project is partially financed through the Community
Development Block Grant Program. The contract will be
subject to the regulations of the U.S. Department of Labor,
Housing, and Development.

The Oregon Health Division of the Department of Human
Resources is issuing Request for Proposals #165 to contract
with a communications firm for the development and imple­
mentation of a comprehensive, statewide awareness and
education campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to
support the Oregon Health Division’s comprehensive tobacco
prevention and Education Program. The proposed contract
period is December 1,1997 through June 30, 1999.
