Lease Crutcher Lewis, serving as the Construction Man-
ager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for the Oregon State
Board of Education is soliciting bids for the construction of
the Oregon State University Forest Ecosystem Research
Laboratory in Corvallis, Oregon. Terms and conditions of the
bid are outlined in Lease Crutcher Lewis (CM/GC) “Invitation
to Bid”, dated June 2,1997, attached to and made a part of
the Contract Documents.
Bids will be received at the offices of Lease Crutcher
Lewis (CM/GC), 921 SW Washington Avenue, Suite 150,
Portland Oregon 97205, until 3:00 p .m . PDT, July 1,1997
at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read
aloud. Bids shall be clearly marked “OSU Forest Eco­
system Research Laboratory”.
The total project cost, inclusive of coordination, design and
construction cost is projected to be $24 million. Funding for
the project is through a $9.7 million grant by the United State
Department of Agriculture Cooperative State Research,
Education and Extension Service, $14.3 million in gifts from
other sources.
Work will consist of a site preparation package for a new
100,000 square foot research laboratory for the Department
of Forestry and Oregon State University.

Sealed bids will be received at the Housing Authority of
Portland (HAP), 8910 N. W oolsey Avenue, Portland, Oregon
97203, until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 1997 labor and
materials to make site and dwelling improvements to a
fourteen unit apartment complex. Shortly thereafter, bids will
be opened and publicly read. No bidder may withdraw their
bid after the hour set for opening until after the lapse of sixty
(60) days from the bid opening.
The basic work consists of concrete demolition and paving,
landscaping, roofing, painting, brick repair and sealing,
rough and finish carpentry, installation of new metal doors,
vinyl flooring, replacement of existing mechanical heating
system.

A $50 (fifty) deposit for one set and $20 (twenty) for each
additional set is refundable when documents are returned
within 10 days after bid opening.
Attendance of bidders is requested at a pre-bid tour of the
project commencing at Camelia Court at 10:00 a.m., Tues­
day, June 24, 1997. Questions posed during the tour, not
addressed in the documents, will be answered by adden­
dum.
Execution of an Affidavit of MBE Participation (HAP form
421) is required of each bidder in order to qualify as a
qualified bidder for this work.
The Housing Authority of Portland may reject any bid not in
com pliance with the prescribed bidding procedures and
requirements and may reject any or all bids and waive all

Request For Proposals The City of Portland Bureau of
Purchases requests proposals from a consultant firm or
team of consultants for project specific technical assistance
