bond executed in favor of the City of Riddle in an am ount not
less than ten percent (10% ) of the total am ount of the bid. Bid
bond is to be forfeited as a fixed and liquidated dam age
should the bidder neglect or refuse to enter into a contract
and provide suitable bond for the faithful perform ance of the
work in the event the contract is aw arded them. Funds for the
im provem ents are available, and m onthly paym ents will be
m ade by check.
The successful B idder m ust be registered, or shall becom e
registered, with the C onstruction C ontractor’s Board as re­
quired by ORS 671.530. B idder is not required to be licensed
under ORS 468A.720.
The C ontract is for public w ork subject to ORS 279.348 to
279.363. No bid will be received or considered by Riddle or
any officer thereof unless the bid contains a statem ent by the
Bidder as a part of their bid that the provisions required by
ORS 279.350 (relating to prevailing wages) shall be included
in this Contract.
Contracts aw arded for this project will be financed with a
grant and loan from the Rural D evelopm ent (form erly FmHA)
branch of the United States D epartm ent of Agriculture. Prior
to andy Contract Award, com pliance with all U S D A /R ural
Developm ent requirem ents will be verified. Similarly, all project
paym ents, change orders, and associated paperw ork will be
subject to U S D A /R ural D evelopm ent review and approval
prior to becom ing effective.
Bidders will be required to com ply with the provisions of the
President’s Executive O rder No. 11246 concerning Equal
Em ploym ent O pportunity (EEO), including all issued a m end­
m ents thereunder. The requirem ents for Bidders and C on­

The City of Riddle may reject any bid not in com pliance with
all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirem ents,
and may reject for good cause any bids upon the finding of the
City of Riddle that it is in the public interest to do so. No Bidder

opening and thereafter until the lapse of ninety (90) days from
