Doreen Roozee, associate director o f Hab­ itat, says the project coincides w ith the hiring o f Habitat s first woman crew leader, M e lis ­ sa Mederos. It w ill be an opportunity for "wom en concerned about women's issues to work together on a u n ifyin g project." The house w ill take 1,000 "slo ts" - each signifying one person's eight hours o f labor - Io build.
