Contractors and subcontractors must be licensed for asbes-|
tos abatement work if the project involves working with asbes­
tos as set forth in ORS 468A.720.
No bid will be considered unless bidder is registered with the I
Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701.055
or licensed by the State Landscape Contractors Board as
required by ORS 671.530.
No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a surety I
bond, certified check, or a cashiers check payable to Mult­
nomah County for the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of
| the aggregate proposal. The successful bidder shall furnish a
bond satisfactory to the board in the full amount of the contract.
I Sealed proposals for furnishing all materials, labor and equip­
ment for the following described work will be received by the I
Clerk-Treasurer of the City of La Center, P.O. Box 500,214 E.

September 6,1996. At this time the sealed bids will be publicly
opened and read. A contract will be awarded or all bids I
rejected within 60 days after the bid opening.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
| This project includes the following work:
A. Demolition, removal, haul and disposal of existing road-1
way pavement, sidewalk, curbs, storm drain pipe, catch |
basins and culverts.
B. Clearing, grubbing, roadway excavation embankment |
and subgrade preparation.
C. Relocation of existing overhead and underground utilities |
by respective utility companies.
D. Construction of approximately 1180 linear feet of 18-inch I
and 12-inch storm drain pipe to include catch basins, |
manholes and connections.
E. Widening and reconstruction of approximately 1100 lin-l
ear feet of asphalt concrete pavement roadway including
cement concrete curb, gutter, sidewalks and permanent |
signing and stripping.
