Reclam ation and the National Fish and W ildlife Foundation joined in partnership to jointly fund several projects designed to m eet this o bjec­ tive. The successful applicants were chosen from a pool o f 61 proposals A lthough there were not enough funds available for all the projects. A $21,000 grant w as aw arded to the O regon W ater Trust to acquire w ater rights from w illin g sellers within the Deschutes, G rande Ronde. John D ay, and U m atilla river basins in O regon. Total project cost is about $63,000.
