Small Grant Program makes small
one-tim e grants to neighborhood

port to com m unity-based seivice
providers who focus their programs
in the Bureau’ s designated targe,
area. Selected fo r tw o years o f
needs o f low/moderate income res­
idents o f Portland. Projects select­

School, $ 12,000 to operate a youth
each year to carry our repair and

target areas.
• C o m m u n ity C y c lin g C e n te r,

Repair and Ride Program in the
neighborhood.

gon, $3,200 for development o f a
play area at the Nelson Court A part­
ments
• Neighborhood Health Clinics,
$12,000 for the S e lf Care health
education program in the Brentwood-
Darlington neighborhood.

opm ent C o rp o ra tio n , $12,000 to
assist the H um boldt neighborhood
in developing a neighborhood ac­
tion plan

Homeless Y outh C ouncil.

for a paint-a-thon in the Portsmouth
and Kenton neighborhoods.

Rights
Forum
The Oregon H ousing N O W ! Coa­
litio n and the Y W C A o fG reater Port­
land, St. Johns Center, are co-spon­
soring a free renters’ rights forum.
The forum is a chance fo r renters
to learn their rights under the Land­
lord-Tenant Law and learn how to
strengthen their rights.
This event w ill be held Tuesday
May 7th, 7:00 pm at the St. Johns
Community'Center, 8427 N orth Cen­
tral Bus routes 4, 6, 17, 40 and 75.
