Roy James has been named dis­
trict businessofficerofbank o f A m er­
ica’ s Eastern D istrict, w ith 24 retail
bank branches including branches in
Gresham, Pendleton, Oregon C ity,
Bend and La Grande.
In his new position James is re­
sponsible fo r w o rkin g w ith com m er­
cial business clients to accommodate
their lending needs and assisting
branches by p ro vid in g comm ercial
business lending support.
James has 15 years banking experi­
ence. Previously, he served as a man­
ager o f the banks’ s Eastport Plaza
branch. He joined B o f A in 1992,
coming from U.S. Bank, where he
served five years as a branch manager.
James graduated in 1978 from
N ortheastern State U n iv e rs ity in
O klahom a w ith a bachelor’ s degree
in m arketing.
He serves on the boards o f the
Urban Bankers A ssociation o f Port­
land and Rose C om m unity D evelop­

American inventor. It is not ju s t that
Frederick M c K in le y Jones is an in ­
novator who provides a m ultitude o f
opportunities to provide the reader
with an inspiring account o f what can
be accomplished w ith strong m o tiva ­
tion and an energetic im agination -
but , on the other side o f the coin,
presents a worst-case-scenario fo r
“ Black H istory, Lost, strayed, sto­
len.”
