Everyone At Sometime Feels Depression

happiness and joy Yes, it can be
truthfully said that everyone at some
time become depressed.
Job wished he had never been
born, when what he saw as insur
mountable problemscame upon him.
Some of us major in our problems,
continually remembering all that has
happened to us way back when. We
wallow in our problems and to es
cape the hurt, some o f us drink alco
hol; some become abusive; some live
on valium and other drugs to block
out reality. Some steal, commit sui
cide, gamble and etc.; thinking only
o f their problems, they feed on them,
digest them, saturate body and mind
with them; thus making their prob
lems their life work. No joy is in
gested, therefore, no joy can come
out of them. Then there are others

their illnesses, and will even tell you
over and over how God cured them;
but cured they are not. but living their
illnesses over and over and over,
relishing the problem, unconsciously
wishing it or something like it would
happen again to maintain their unreal
joy; their hopelessness and fearful
ness in a problem free future.
There are nocounselors or Preach
ers or Priests or other professional
who can cure deep seated depres
sions. rhe cures must come from
deep within the depressed person; a
change in attitudes, actions; replac
ing self with others. There is a cure
offered in the Bible for all types of
depressions; Jesus Christ is just such
a cure for he is a God of peace, love
and joy. Psalm 1, Mediate on God.

1:9 The Bible tell us to be sober,
practice patience, practice modera
tion and forgive each other; to bless
and curse not. These are not stress
responses; these are cures for over
reaction to stress, which causes de
pression, which in turn, destroys mind
and body. The simple stressful act of
hurrying is a struggle against time—
-and that is unhealthy. Time goes on
and on and we do not. If every day
and every minute is filled with the
striving to be perfect; to get and hold
the best job; to be better off finan
cially, there remains no time to ac
cess personal spiritual needs, not to
mention the physically needs of the
body. If we would only choose to
mediate on the principles of our manu
facturer, God. These principles that
