Follow ing his ordination in 1986, Pastor Knutson has worked in the Northwest as a teacherat the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, as the pastor coor­ dinating youth ministries at T rin ity Lutheran Church in Gresham, and as youth ministry assistant to the bish­ op o f the Pacific Northwest Synod. In 1989, he was named direc­ tor foryouth ministries for the Evan­ gelical Lutheran Church in A m eri­ ca at its national headquarters in Chicago.
