longtime illness with kidney failure. M em orial services were held T hurs­
day, Oct. 19 at the K illingsw orth Little Chapel o f the Chimes.
She was bom Dec. 3 1 ,1 9 4 2 in H attieburg, Miss, and moved to Seattle
when she was tw o-years-old. She m arried Bond T yler on Oct. 14. I960 in
Seattle. Her m aiden nam e was A ndrew s.
She m oved to Portland 23 years ago and had been em ployed as an
instructor's aid at H um boldt E lem entary School for 22 years.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Bond Jr. Eric and Rhashaud,
all o f Portland; a daughter, Terri o f Portland; four brothers, Raym ond and
Robert A ndrew s o f Portland and C onjew el and M ark A ndrew s o f Seattle;
five sisters, Shirley and N aom i A ndrew s o f Seattle, H elena Cook o f
Portland. Edith Smith o f C alifornia and Edna Smith o f Seattle; and two
grandchildren.

is it that says that hom osexual behav­
ior is a lifestyle? Psalm 119:1 Blessed
are the undefiled in the way, who
w alk in the law o f the Lord. W ho is it
that says that choosing to have a baby
out o f w edlock is a lifestyle? W ho is
it that says living together, w ithout
the sanction o fm arriag e is a right and
righteous w ay o f living?
D euteronom y 29:29, The secret
things belong unto the Lord our G od;
but those things w hich are revealed
belong unto us and to our children
forever, that we may do all the W ords
o f this (the) law. O n w hat grounds or
basis are these values given sanc­
tion? W ho is it that has decided that
prayer in public places, in education­
al settings are forbidden? W ho is it
that decides that the Bible m ust not
be taught to our children in schools
that belong to the people, supported
by the people; that are o f the people
and for the people? Why and when
did the m ajority o f the people cease
to ask: W ho is this that dares to tell

our lim its on personal, national and
global behavior? W ho is this that has
dared to attack our foundations o f
truth, o f absolutes?
W ho is this that steals our chil­
d ren 's m inds, usurping our authority
and training by saturating them with
“strange” ideas, totally foreign to the
foundation o f fam ilies in A m erica?
Are we so foolish, as to hold our
tongues, and allow our m ost pre­
cious possessions, (our children), to
be led like cattle to the slaughter?
A re we so blind that we cannot
see and recognize the snake in our
bosom ? T he poison invades our so­
ciety and we foolishly refuse to use
the antidote w hich is readily avail­
able to us. 1 Tim othy 4:16: pay close
attention to yourself and to your teach­
ing; persevere in these things; for as
you do this you will insure salvation
both o f y o u rself and for those who
hear you. W ho is it that says that we
have a choice to slay a child in the
w om b? A re we so insane as to d e­
stroy generations o f people, yet ex­
pect this w orld to continue as before?

it their right and their due.

enem y as he is; devoid o f love, full o f
