South. Once 95 S o u th ’s Jay
McGowan discovered the two could
also rap, he took them into the studio
to record their 1992 debut single
“Whoot! Here It Is," a high-spirited,
comic response to 95 south’; plati­
num hit — which still reigns as one of
America’s favorite phrases.
The ladies have been on the road
with the Bass Fest Tour featuring 95
South and 69 Boyz throughout the
summer, putting bass in places like
Chicago, Cincinnati and Orlando, the
latter in which they taped a special
guest appearance for Stomp!, a na­
tional step competition to air in syn­
dication this fall.
