Taylor
Taylor is a darling g irl who
needs an adoptive fam ily! Taylor
loves music. Even at this young
age, she is already plucking an elec
tric guitar and drumming on drums.
Taylor loves playing outdoors and
going to the park. Although she
can’t sit still to do arts or crafts, she
w ill sit down long enough to watch
“ Barney’’ on television.
Taylor has special needs be
lieved to be associated with prena
tal drug and alcohol exposure. Her
high energy, impulsiveness, and
limited a bility to connect cause and
effect frustrate her and others. Like
other children struggling with emo
tional and behavioral issues, Tay
lor needs considerable structure,
predictable routines, and a high level
o f supervision and guidance from
caring adults. She w ill need a par
ent or very capable caretaker home
after school.
I f you have the energy, love,
Taylor, A g e 4
and the a bility to advocate for a child
like Taylor, please consider adop
tion!

Celebration o f Mothers’ Day is
the perfect occasion to remember the
children who are waiting to be adopt
ed. On this past Mothers’ Day we
hope considered becoming a parent
to a youngster who has experienced
a rough start in life, and who shares a
common dream -a Mom or Dad to
call their own.
Currently Oregon has close to
two hundred “ waiting children” who,
through no fault o f their own, can
never return to live with their o rig i
nal families, but instead w ill depend
on new adoptive parents to help them
heal past hurts and move on w ith the
tasks o f grow ing up.
Moms are needed for children
like 11-year-old Erin, who loves an
imals, participates in sports, likes

and lik e E bony, he too sings in

little boy.
D elightful six-year-old James
clearly has a mind o f his own! He
loves to play with other children,
but needs occasional reminders
about sharing. James too is bright
and verbal. Learning to ride a bike
and to play board games are excit
ing new ventures for him.

financial assistance is sometimes
