Sealed bids for the Terminal 6, Berth 603, Pavem ent Reha­
bilitation, will be received at the office of the Manager,

Description of Work:
Excavate approxim ately 21,000 square yards of existing
asphalt concrete pavement. Pavement thickness ranges
from 2 inches to 4 inches. Augment, grade, and trim the
underlying aggregate base to restore proper drainage
patterns. Construct new asphalt concrete pavem ent over
the restored base.
The Port of Portland is committed to providing equal oppor­
tunities to State of Oregon certified Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises (DBEs) in contracting activities. The DBE partici­
pation target for this project is 25 percent. The Port encour­
age bidders to exercise good faith efforts, as defined in ORS
200-045(3), to obtain DBE subcontractor participation on this
contract. If they are successful in securing DBE participation,
the Port is requiring bidders to complete and submit, with
their bids, a Statem ent of Intent form included in the bid
documents.
The Port Contracts and Procurement office has DBE vendor
profiles available which will be supplied to prime contractors
upon request. The profiles identify pertinent vendor data
which may assist prime contractors in providing subcontract­
ing and supplier opportunities to DBEs in specific areas as
identified by the Port.
A prebid conference will be held on Thursday, April 20,1995,
at 10 a.m. in the Terminal 6 Administration Building to discuss
all phases of the work.

Contracts with qualified firms and/or individuals who can
provide G raphic Artist, Publications Editor/Technical W riter,
and/or Photographer services to state agencies within the
State of Oregon. A list of qualified contractors will be provided
to state agencies for their use, as needed, from the date of

questing letters of interest from agencies/individuals that are
capable and seriously interested in providing one or more of
the following training courses for adults 22 years and older:
Forklift Driving and Certification: Prepare 20 students for
warehouse w ork on various types of forklifts in a minimum 4
and no more than 8 hour training.

and m ethodology course by a field experienced instructor.
The intent of this notice is to evaluate the level of interest in
the above proposals and determine if further methods of
com petition are necessary before funding the proposals. If
the response to this notice is sufficient, TPIC may release a
full request for proposal for any or all proposals. The funding
will be provided by the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA)

Your responsibilities will involve data entry and processing and reconciliation
o f customer and branch transactions. To qualify, you w ill need good basic
math and 10-key skills of at least 125 spm (proficiency exercise w ill he given).
