Before the advent o f cable and
the video cassette recorder, teachers
struggled w ith the lim ita tio n s o f us­
ing television. The T V c o n tro lle d the
teacher Programs could o n ly be used
when they aired. N ow , teachers are
in c o n tro l. They can use as I ittle or as
much o f the cable programs as they
need to m otivate th e ir students and
enrich th e ir lesson plans.
