Sweet Honey In
The Roch Coming
Feb 4th
Portland favorite, the much-admired singing group Sweet Honey In
The Pock will appear at Schnitzer Hall Saturday FEB 4th for an
8pm concert blending blues, folk, gospel, and traditional African
music. Tickets are on sale now.
The Grammy Award-winning sextet has played to sold out
audiences worldwide. These are women who sing fiercely of being
fighters, tenderly of being in love, and knowingly of being women.
Now celebrating their 21th year, they have earned a large and
enthusiastic Portland audience by time and again giving riveting
performances. They are one of those all too few acts who don’t
rely on anything for help except their own exhilarating, inspiriting
voices and their stunning presence on stage. Reserved seat
tickets available at Fred Meyer FASTIXX locations, the PCPA
boxoffice or by phone at 224-8499 or from outside of Portland
(800) 992-8499. Ticket prices range from $18.50 to a startlingly
low $10 to allow everyone a chance to see this wonderful group
(plus City fee and seller commission). This concert will be sign
interpreted for the hearing-impaired by Shirley Childress Johnson.
