The Director of Water Operations is responsible for collaborating
with and providing technical and policy advice to political leaders,
legislative bodies, policy and advisory groups, wholesale and
retail customers, regulatory agencies and water Industry, civic
and special interest organizations. The Senior Environmental
Services Manager provides direction to the Water Operations
Group and is responsible for the Bureau's water supply, treat­
ment, storage and transmission system. Tentative closing date:

The Director Engineering Services is responsible for collaborat­
ing with and providing technical and policy advice to political

Chief Engineer is also responsible for overseeing the activities of
the Engineering Services Group in providing engineering, con­
struction management and other related technical services to
support acquisition of water supply, treatment storage, transmis­
sion and distribution facilities for the Water Bureau. Tentative

Community Relations Specialist
(Director, Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods, Inc.)
Approximate Monthly Salary: $3,274 to $4182
This position is under a board of Directors and the Office of
Neighborhood Associations. The Director performs professional
level staff work representing the mission, goals and objectives of
the City and the NE Neighborhood Associations. Examples of
work include: explaining City programs to the public; planning,
developing and implementing community outreach plans; devel­
oping funding; managing financial resources; recruiting and
managing volunteers and facilitating community meetings. Su­

Bidders must prequalify with Owner, on Standard Oregon
Review Board Prequalification forms, ten (10) days prior to
bid opening. Disqualification statements shall be issued not
later than four (4) days before bid opening by the Owner.
Prequalification forms may be obtained from the Engineer
and should be submitted to the Owner via the Engineer. If a
prequalification form is on file with the Engineer and is not
over one year old, refiling is not necessary unless there has
been a substantial change in Contractor’s status.
No bid will be considered unless fully completed in the
m anner provided in the “ Instructions to Bidders” upon the bid
form provided by the Engineer and accom panied by a bid
bond executed in favor of the City of Jacksonville in an
am ount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount
of the bid. Bid bond is to be forfeited as a fixed and liquidated
damage should the bidder neglect or refuse to enter into a
contract and provide suitable bond for the faithful perfor­
mance of the work in the event the contract is awarded them.
Funds for the improvements are available, and monthly
payments will be made by check.
The successful Bidder must be registered, or shall become
registered, with the Construction Contractor’s Board or li­
censed by the State Landscape Contractor’s Board as
required by ORS 671.530. Bidder is not required to be
licensed under ORS 468A.720.
