2,000 people gathered into the First Baptist Church

Commissioner Charlie Hales and Parks Superintendent
Charles Jordan and gather detailed information on the
over 100 construction projects scheduled as a result of
the approval of the Parks General Obligation Measure.

take n to a M etro -d e sig n a te d facility o r trans­
p o rte d under th e a u th o rity o f a M e tro n o n ­
facilities and collects user fees and excise taxes
on in -region w aste. Disposal o f w a ste at
un de sign ated facilities violates the M e tro Code.
Falsely cla im in g th a t w a ste orig in a te d o u tside
system license. Inert m aterials, such as concrete,
rock and asphalt, and separated recyclable item s
take n to a recycler are n o t subject to this
the M e tro b o un da ry m ay vio late crim inal
statutes. V io la to rs can be charged w ith unpaid
fees, fines up to $5 00 per occurrence, and
investigative costs. They m ay also be cited fo r
requirem ent.
