lic Safety and Parking Ser­
vices. This position is respon­
sible for the management of
the university’s parking and
public safety programs. The
primary goal of the parking is
to accommodate employees,
students and trainees, pa­
tients, physicians, vendors,
and visitor parking to the
OHSU Campus. The public
safety program provides se­
curity services for the cam­
pus, which includes 35 build­
ing structures. The primary
goal of the public safety pro­
gram is to provide a safe and
secure environment for the
university community. This
position oversees an operat­
ing budget of $2.2 million, and
an additional bonding of $2.5
million annually.
Qualifications: 5 yrs experience
in supervision, staff-technical
or professional-level work re­
lated to a public safety pro­
gram; experience must in­
clude at least 2 yrs of supervi­
sion and management of a
program section, or unit which
included: a) development of
program rules and policies, b)
development of long and short
range goals and plans, c) pro­
gram evaluation, and d) bud­
get preparation; a bachelor’s
degree or courses in a field
related to management, such
as Business or Public Admin­
istration, or a field related to
public safety or parking, may
be substituted for up to three
years of the required experi­
ence, but will not be substi­
tuted for the two years of spe­
cialized experience.
