The City of Vancouver, W ashington is seeking professional
engineering services to perform project developm ent and
design work for the expansion of w astew ater treatm ent
facilities.
The City intends to expand the W estside W astewater Treat­
m ent Plant to provide: (1) Increased Liquid Stream Capacity
from 15 to 20 MGD, (2) Ammonia Removal, (3) Outfall
M odification, (4) Ultraviolet Light Disinfection, (5) Fluidize
Bed Incineration, and (6) New Maintenance Facilities. The
schedule for such work is: Engineering Report and Environ­
m ental Approvals in 1995, Facility Design in 1996, Construc­
tion during 1997-1999. The City desires engineering w ork to
begin im m ediately in January 1995.
Statem ents of qualifications should identify the staff and
team s which could be available for this project and who would
be responsible in each of the six areas. Explain the back­

Exhibit I
The Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) is requesting pro­
posals from professional firms, licensed in the state of
W ashington, to practice architecture, civil, structural, plum b­
ing, m echanical and electrical engineering (A/E) to provide
the services needed to develop plans and specifications for
various site and dwelling im provem ents as needed through
Decem ber 31, 1995 under the HUD Com prehensive Grant
Program (CGP).
The VHA has three current grants under the CGP in various
stages of com pletion. The total construction budget am ount
for outstanding work under the current CGP grants is
$1,681,319. The am ount of involvem ent by the A/E firm will
vary. The VHA will perform some of the architectural w ork in­
house.
