added the popular 7/8" True Divided
Lite (T D L ) window to its Visions
2000 uPVC viny 1 line o f windows and
doors. Weather Shield is the only
manufacturer to offer authentic insu
lated 7/8" TDL. windows in wood or
vinyl.
Thanks to a unique spacer design.
Weather Shield engineers developed
a narrower muntin width, thus im
proving v is ib ility and overall aes
thetic appeal. The 7/8" muntin bar
w idth also allows for accurate d up li
cations in historic preservation and
reproduction.
Visions 2000 T D L windows also
offer builders and homeowners prac
tica lity as well as aesthetics. Unlike
simulated divided lite grille design
windows, the Visions 2000 T D L de
sign a llo w s fo r in d iv id u a l lite
reglazability, on both fixed and oper
ating units. Simulated divided lite
windows, by comparison, may re
quire replacement o f either the sash
or the entire unit.
Like all Visions 2000 products, the
7/8" True D ivided L ite window is
constructed w ith tough unplasticized
polyvinylchloride (uPVC) frames, a
new generation in window technol
ogy that prov ides highly efficient in
sulation. The uPVC vinyl frames pro
tect against rust, corrosion, blistering,
flaking, or peeling.
The dual sealed units feature insul
glass with optional Low E and Low
E w ith argon gas glazing. A ll sash are
silicone glazed to eliminate water and
air infiltration.
In addition to the 7/8" TD L w in
dow, the Visions 2000 line includes
single-hung and double-hung, single
slide, casement, awning, direct-set,
circle -top , bow/bay windows, and
sliding patio doors.

Heat pumps replace both furnace and
central air conditioner, providing winter
heating and summer cooling. In winter,
the heat pump collects heat from outdoor
air to warm the air inside your home. In
summer, the process is reversed so that
the heat pump collects heat from the air
in your home and expels it outside.
Because the heat pump collects heat
that already exists in the outdoor air, it
can supply from 2 to 3 times more heat
than the energy it uses, depending on
the efficiency o f the heat pump and the
outside temperature. For example, a
heat pump can save 30 to 60 percent on
electric heating bills because it uses 30
to 60 percent less energy to supply the
same heat as an electric furnace with a
resistance heating element.
