Notice To Contractors
Centennial Area II Mid-County
Collector Sewer
Project #3049
Sealed proposals will be received by the Departm ent of
Environm ental Services Director at the City Hall, 1333 N. W.
Eastman Parkway, Gresham, Oregon 97030, until June 2,
1994, 10:00a.m., Local Tim e at which time they will be
opened, for the construction of the Centennial II Mid-County
Sewer Project No. 3049.
Contractor for this work shall furnish all labor at current U.S.
Departm ent of Labor prevailing wage rates, m aterials and
equipm ent and services of all kinds to com plete the w ork in
accordance with the plans and specification therefor.
Plans and specification may be exam ined at the office of the
Departm ent of Environm ental Services, 1550 N.W. Eastman
Parkway, Suite 175, G resham , Oregon. Copies of said plans
and specifications may be obtained upon application to the
Departm ent of Environm ental Services Director and by post­
ing a non-refundable fee of $25.00 with the Departm ent of
Environm ental Services Director for each set of drawings and
specifications requested. Q uestions regarding this project

Contractors m ust prequalify for sanitary sewer construction
with the City of Gresham, as required by the laws of the State
of Oregon, before the date of a bid opening. O therwise, their
proposal may not be given consideration.
All proposals must be subm itted on the regular form s fur­
nished by the City of Gresham, addressed and mailed or
delivered to the Departm ent of Environm ental Services. City
of Gresham, 1333 N. W. Eastman Parkway, Gresham, O r­
egon in a sealed envelope plainly marked, "Sealed Bid On
Centennial Area II Mid-County Collector Sewer Project 3049,
bearing the name and address of the bidder. Each bid must
be accom panied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid
bond in an am ount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total
bid. A perform ance and paym ent corporate surety bond in the
full amount of the contract shall be required to guarantee
faithful perform ance of the term s of the contract at the tim e of
contract execution.
Each bid must contain a statem ent as to whether the bidder
is a resident bidder, as defined in ORS 279.029. In determ in­
ing the lowest responsible bidder, the public contracting
agency shall, for the purpose of awarding the contract, add a
percent increase on the bid of a nonresident bidder equal to
the percent, if any, of the preference given to that bidder in that
state in which the bidder resides.
Each bid must contain a statem ent by the bidder that the
provisions of ORS 279.350 will be com plied with.h)0*0*0*ch

The City of Gresham reserves the right to reject any and/or all
bids, waive inform alities or to accept any bid which appears
to serve the best interests of the City.

The Oregon State System of Higher Education (OSSHE)
invites responses from qualified professional consultants
interested in providing services to OSSHE and its eight
colleges and universities during the period July 1, 1994
through June 30, 1996, with the possibility of a one year
extension at the option of OSSHE. Prospective work will be
perform ed at cam puses in Ashland, Corvallis, Eugene,
Klam ath Falls, LaGrande, M onmouth, and Portland, Oregon,
and at centers and stations throughout the State. Consultants
selected to provide services during this period may be re­
quested to provide professional services to OSSHE at any of
the above locations in Oregon and, upon the conclusion of an
appropriate interagency agreem ent, to any public agency in
the State of O regon. No single project undertaken pursuant
to this advertisem ent may exceed $100,000 in consulting
fees, including reim bursable expenses.
This solicitation is for the purpose of establishing retainer
agreem ents with qualified professional consultants. No work
is guaranteed to any professional consultant selected under
this process. W ork is anticipated in several disciplines, includ­
ing architecture, landscape architecture, interiordesign, plan­
ning, land use, surveying, appraising, environm ental assess­
ment, and various engineering disciplines (e.g., civil/struc-
tural, m echanical, electrical, environm ental).

Notice Of Cancellation
Of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that the public hearing previously
scheduled to be held by the Tri-County Metropolitan Trans­
portation District of Oregon (Tri-Met) at 3:30 pm, May 25,
1994, at the Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Ave., 2nd FI., Rm.
C, will not be held because no requests were received.
Although no formal public testim ony will be received, the Tri-
Met Board of Directors meeting scheduled for this date will
remain open to all citizens.
The hearing would have been held for the purpose of consid­
ering a project for which federal assistance under Title 23,
U.S.C., Section 103(e)(4) Interstate Transfer Program, is
being sought. The grant application requests funding to
purchase 16 40-ft buses ($3,000,000 federal, $3,529,412
total budget). Fifteen buses will be used to replace older
buses currently in service, and one will be used for service
expansion.
The grant application remains available for public review at
Tri-M et's Grants Dept., 4th fl., 4012 SE 17th Ave., Portland,
