Project Description
Briefly, the w ork is described as Interior and Site ADA
Renovation w ork at Lamb Cottage, City Hall II, Hult Center &
Hult Center Parking Garage, and the Airport.
W ork includes but is not limited to concrete, carpentry,
drywall, doors, cutting and patching, m echanical, plumbing
and electrical.

carrying out the Contract will comply with all applicable laws.

The Housing Authority and Com m unity Services Agency of
LaneCountywill be accepting sealed bids from licensed and
bonded G eneral Contractors and M inority Business Enter­
prises to provide all materials, labor, equipm ent, perm its, and
required inspections, for alterations to Agency-owned Resi­
dential Units and public areas. There are two projects: (1) #94-
C-0015 - Alterations to one unit and the com m unity room at
Laurelwood Homes, Florence, O regon, estim ated value
$40,000; docum ent deposit $2500 (2) #94-C-0016: A lter­
ations to Various Residential Properties located in lane County,
estim ated value: $200,000; docum ent deposit $100.00.

' refundable deposit per set with the Receptionist at 300 west
Fairview Drive, Springfield, Oregon after 9:00 a.m., March 16,
• 1994. Pre-Bid meeting and site tour inform ation is available in

This Agency may reject any bid not in com pliance with all
prescribed public procurem ent procedures and requirements,
and may reject for good cause any or all subm ittals upon a
finding of the Agency it is in the public interest to do so. The
Agency com plies with State and Federal laws and regulations
relating to discrimination and employment, including the Am eri­
cans with Disabilities Act (ADA 1990). Published March 14,21

Subbidders and suppliers may obtain sets of Documents and
Prime Bidders additional sets of Documents for a non-refund­
able fee of $25.00.
Non-Resident Bidders
In accordance with ORS 279.029, preference to Oregon resi­
dents will be given when awarding this Contract by adding to
a non-resident’s bid the same percentage, if any, given to the
Bidder by the Bidder’s home state. Accordingly, Bidders will be
required to indicate on the Bid Form whether or not the Bidder
is an Oregon Resident.
Contractor's Registration
Bids will not be considered, unless the Bidder is registered with
the Construction Contractors Board in accordance with the
laws of the State of Oregon.
Asbestos Abatem ent
Asbestos abatem ent w ork is not contem plated in this project.
If such w ork subsequently becomes required by the discovery
of asbestos, the Contractors m ust com ply with ORS 468.883,
which requires that asbestos abatem ent w ork must be per­
formed by a State licensed asbestos abatem ent contractor
using State certified workers.
All proposals must contain a statem ent as to whether the
bidder is a “resident bidder” as defined in ORS 279.029.
The College reserves the right to reject any proposal not in
com pliance with all prescribed public bidding requirements, to
reject for good cause any or all proposals upon finding that it
is in the public interest to do so, and to waive all informalities.

Federal Grant Requirem ents
This work is financed through the Com m unity Development
Block Grant Program with funds obtained from the US Dept. of
Housing and Urban Developm ent. The C ontract will be subject
to regulation of the Dept. of Labor and the Dept. of Housing and
Urban Development.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference
A mandatory Pe-Bid Conference will be held to answer questions
regarding the project. All interested General Contractors, Sub-Con­

Clackam as Com m unity College requests proposals for an
insurance Agent of Record to perform com prehensive insur­
ance services, including w orker's com pensation but excluding
other em ployee benefits, for a period of one year beginning
July 1,1994, with renewal for two additional one-year periods
at the option of the College. Selection will be determined by the
applicant’s experience and services provided. The Agent of
Record will be appointed in com pliance with Oregon Adm inis­
