The program includes four Saturday sessions from 10am to lp m and three M onday evening ses­ sions from 6pm to 9pm. These ses­ sions cover such topics as Domestic Violence; Drug and Alcohol Abuse; Crisis and S uicide Intervention; Rape, Sexual Abuse and Incest; M ental Health; Post Traum atic Stress D isor­ der; and O ppression. T he BDDTF produces and promotes a re­ gional African-American Business Directory and regularly hosts events in support o f Black businesses. Following Dr. Craw ford’s inspir­ ing presentation, awards for outstand­ ing business accom plishm ents and community involvement were given to W illie Harris, Sportsm an’s Barber Shop; Roy Jay, Oregon Convention and Visitors Service Network; Rosalyn Hill, Shades o f C olor Art Gallery, L eslie W hite, DP P rin tin g ; and NAMCO, the National Association of Minority Contractors of Oregon. This event and its organizers rep­ resent a special group of Blacks who are working hard, w ithout a lot o f fanfare, to improve the economic con­ ditions of Blacks in this town.
