¡engineering and environmental documentation on the Hillsboro
¡Extension of the Westside Light Rail Project. The federal
¡operating assistance would supplement general operation
¡expenses.
¡Funds received under the Congestion Mitigation an Air Quality
¡Program (referenced above as “CMAQ”) would be used to buy
¡1-2 24ft. diesel fueled minibuses forshuttle service to Columbia
South Shore employment centers and another 10 minibuses
¡for expanded service in congested regional corridors. Grant
funding would also finance approximately 20 40-ft. Diesel lift-
lequipped buses for new service; and initiate design and
construction of a pedestrian and bike bridge connected to the
future Sunset Transit Centerof the Westside Light Rail Project.

¡Projects are in conformance with comprehensive land use and
¡transportation planning in the area and are programmed in the
region’s Transportation Improvement Program.
