A t the tender age o f 14, Tabari started ig n itin g audiences in a professional way when he took to the stage the R &B sounds o f Luther Vandross, his “ favorite male vocal­ ist.” Because o f his strong vocal resemblance to Luth er Vandross, Tabari is referred to by his fans as “ L il L u ” When he joined The Royal Court Band, the most popular band in his home town; he quickly gained lead singer status.
