The Cast Of "Evolution Of The Soul Brother
“ E vo lu tio n O f The Soul Brother,” is a
hilarious, side-splitting comedy that
takes an up-beat lo o k at the adven
tures and misadventures o f the fa
mous, infamous, and proverbial “ soul
brother.” This unique and tim ely stage
play is as current and topical as the
inner-city itself, yet as in te llig e n tly
and s k illfu lly w ritten as traditional
B lack Theatre.
“ Soul B rother” takes a comedic and
satirical lo o k at the crazy and unor
thodox way our soul brothers deal
w ith : their women, their w o rld , their
environm ent and in e vita bly, how they
respond to the roles w hich society has
appointed them to. “ Soul B rother,” is
a cleverly constructed tw o-act play
w hich uses vignettes that are expertly
interw oven w ith a contem porary and
nostalgic music soundtrack - “ S oulful
sentimental jo u rn e y” . This m ix o f non
stop comedy and thum ping music
w o rkin g sim ultaneously w ith proven
m aterial, tim e ly message and a strong
ensemble w ill render “ Soul B rother,”
The most talked about play o f the year.
