HVAC Upgrade
Sealed bids for the Portland International Airport, Con­
course D Extension, Lower Level, HVAC Upgrade, will be
received at the office of the Manager, Contracts and
Procurement, of The Port of Portland, 700 N.E. Multnomah
Street, 15th floor, Portland, Oregon, (mailing address: Post
Office Box 3529, Portland, Oregon, 97208) until, but not
after, 1 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 1993, and thereafter
publicly opened and read.
Description of Work:
Installing two downward flow unit heaters and two in­
line centrifugal fans, each with hot water heating coils,
retrofitting selective interior fan-powered boxes with
heating hot water coils; extending existing heating hot
water piping; installing low-pressure ductwork, diffus­
ers, grilles, and accessories; installing automatic con­
trol dampers in main return air ductwork; relocating
ceiling-mounted DDC thermostats to walls and col­
umns; resetting fan-powered box primary air CFM
setpoints; and adjusting and balancing air and heating
hot water flows.
A mandatory prebid conference will be held on Thurs­
day, May 27,1993 at 2 p.m. to discuss all phases of the
work. The conference will be held in the Columbia
Room on the mezzanine level in the Terminal Building
at Portland International Airport and will include a
walking tour of the site. Take the stairs near the clock
tower in the concession lobby.
Following the prebid conference, a list of bidders present
at the prebid conference will be submitted to the Port of
Portland Contracts and Procurement office. Contracts
and Procurement will open bids only from firms which
were represented at the prebid conference.

Bids must be on the bid form which will be provided to
prospective bidders and must be accompanied by a certi­
fied or cashier’s check drawn on a United States bank or a
bid bond payable to The Port of Portland in an amount
equal to at least 10 percent of the total amount bid.
Prequalification is not required for this work.
The drawings and the contract manual may be examined
at Port offices. Copies may be obtained by prospective
bidders at no cost from Contracts and Procurement (ad­
dress above).
No bid will be received or considered unless it contains a
statement by the bidder as a part of the bid that the
provision of ORS 279.350 (regarding prevailing wage
rates) are to be complied with.
No bid will be received or considered unless the bidder is
registered with the State of Oregon Construction Contrac­
tors Board, pursuant to ORS 701.055 (1), prior to submit­
ting a bid. (Reference Articles 10, 12, and 13 in the
Instructions to Bidders.)
A license for asbestos work under ORS 468.720 is not
required for this work.
Bidders are required to state whether or not the bidder is a
resident bidder, as defined in ORS 279.029. (Reference
Article 3 in the Instructions to Bidders.)
Bids may be rejected if not in compliance with bidding
procedures and requirements. Any or all bids may be
rejected if in the public interest to do so.

The Metro is seeking bids forthe procurement and instal­
lation of a tierd seating system for the Oregon Convention
Center. Copies of the Contract Documents are available
from Metro's Regional Facilities Department at the ad­

The Portland Development \Commission, on behalf of
ElderHope Limited Partnership, solicits Statements of Quali­
fications from Contractors to construct a subsidized low
income housing project at SW 12th & Market Streets,
Portland, OR. The Commission will receive Statements of
Qualifications until 3:00 P.M. local time, Friday, May 28,
