Description of Work:
Removal of all asbestos-containing materials as needed
for demolition of Concourse D. Work includes removal of
structural fireproofing, carpeting, floor tile, pipe insulation
hard fittings, fire doors, walls and ceilings, and cement
asbestos board; demolition to access asbestos; and sal­
vage of miscellaneous items.
A prebid conference will be held on Thursday, April 15,
1993, at 9 a.m. in the Columbia conference room at the
Portland International Airport terminal building to discuss
all phases of the work. The airport conference center is
located at the top of the stairs which are near the clock
tower in the concession lobby.

Bids must be on the bid form which will be provided to
prospective bidders and must be accompanied by a certi­
fied or cashier’s check drawn on a United States bank or
a bid bond payable to The Port of Portland in an amount
equal to at least 10 percent of the total amount bid.

Prequalification applications must be submitted not later
than 5 business days prior to the bid opening date.

The State of Oregon, acting by and through its Adult and
Family Services Division, is issuing a Request for Pro­
posals (RFP 93-2) for the procurement of a reliable
contractor to provide expert, high quality translations for
various forms, publications and notices of the Adult and
Family Services Division and other divisions of the De­
partment of Human Resources.
The present need is for translations in the following
languages: Spanish, russian, Hmoung, Mien, Romanina,
Cambodian, Laotian, Vietnamese, and Korean.
All of the information required for proposals is in the RFP
and a copy may be obtained by contacting John Dotson

their safe load capacity. The consultant will follow the
