Business Support Helps
Strong Program
The Garlington Center Child
Enhancem ent Project has almost
reached completion thanks to gener
ous financial support of business
foundations such as W essinger,
Meyer Memorial Trust, Paicficorp,
First Interstate Bank and Bank of
America.
These grants assist in restoring a
facility for The G arlington’s rapidly
growing Children and Adolescent
program, a structured therapeutic pro
gram serving emotionally disturbed
children and their families. The pro-
gram is expected to move to the reno-
vated facility at S kidm ore and
Missisippi in April.
The Garlington Center is an es
tablished non-profit, com m unity
based mental health agency. The com
munity-based philosophy was devel
oped to provide affective services to
mentally ill persons in lieu of inpa
tient hospitalization.
This service is cost-efficient and,
requires less tax dollars to help im
prove the equality of life for these
consumers.
